The problem with WSM is that performance at range is hard to perceive when most people can't/don't shoot much past 150 yards. You have to have everything perfect from a steady rest to make long range hits.

It's not a precision measurement; it's not important enough to spend big bucks for super-accuracy. I got the Wheeler spring gauge on sale for $15, works good enough.There are several centerfire alternatives in cartridges that can be loaded down to .22 rimfire power levels. .22 Hornet, .25-20 Win., FN 5.7x28, .22 Cooper CCM, even .222 and .223 Rem. For anyone looking at this thread and looking for a confirmation : Butler Creek 25rd mags do not work with the B22 Precision. They do lock in but sit too low to load reliably. The bolt jams the round at the bore entrance's bottom side, eating into the bullet.
