Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.

Sep 12, 2022 · The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).

Nov 7, 2022 · The Prodigy is a good thing in that it puts needed pressure on the market. Staccato Ps don't need to cost $2.5k, but it's foolish to expect a pistol thats $1k cheaper to be "just as good". No free lunch and Staccato is still the baseline for a double stack that honest to goodness works from the start. The Springfield Prodigy 1911 is certainly poised to be a Staccato killer. Performance is very similar. The look is very similar. But the price is way less. At an MSRP of $1,499, the Prodigy is less than half of the typical Staccato and Wilson Combats. Disciples of those brands will likely claim you get what you pay for, and perhaps you do.

Oct 12, 2023 · Springfield also offers a 26-rounder. The floor plate is polymer, and the magazine tube is steel. There are three witness holes at 5, 10, and 17 rounds on the flush fit mag and an extra hole at the 20-round mark on the 20-round extended magazine. Springfield Prodigy magazines will function in Staccato P guns and vice versa. Dec 13, 2022 · Plus, you know, it's a Wilson. $2700 isn't that much more than a Stacatto, especially when you consider Stacatto mags cost basically 2X as much ($40-45 vs $80-100)... so if you're going to end up getting 6-10 mags the original price difference ends up narrowing further. Fuck Wilson Combat as a company.

If price isn’t a big factor and out of the box performance is, then the Staccato is the way to go. If you’re willing to tinker if needed and price is a factor then the Prodigy is less expensive but appears more likely to have issues (though most seem easily solved). A stock STI Edge or Tactical was $1899 MSRP. A Staccato P is $2099. It’s the optic ready ones that add a lot to the price, but that’s always been the case with STI. They made a 2011 that fit the budgeted set of 2011s, meant to be finally finished by a final gunsmith and tuned properly with mags for it.Staccato does a heros discount which after taxes and the additional mags they give you plus optic plate you save about $600. It’ll put you in the 2100 ball park. For an extra 800 you have a gun that’s CLEARLY more reliable then the prodigy.

Jan 8, 2023 · Can the "Affordable" new kid on the block hold its own against the tried-and-true - and much more expensive - Staccato P? For the YouTube manual reviewers:1)...

Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.
